Week 1: Pick Your Topic, Launch Your Site

The first week is all about deciding on the direction you want to take with your site. Believe it or not, this is where most people get hung up, and they never actually pick a niche and get their site up and running!

While there’s a lot to know about finding target niches, the basic premise is really incredibly simple: pick a niche that a) you know something about and – god forbid – will like writing about, b) has relevant products associated with it, and c) is small (the keyword here is “niche” after all). If you don’t know how to do this, then you might consider Niche Profit Classroom for more info.

Getting your site live and online doesn’t have to be difficult either. Just get a one click hosting to setup WordPress, and you’re good to go. You can always improve the design later. The key thing is to get it up and running ASAP.

Week 2: Content Content Content

By this time, your site should be live, and hopefully you already have a few posts or pages built out. Now it’s time to really focus in on your content strategy. This comes in two parts.

First, think about the structure you want to have for your site. This is going to be your main navigation, and make it easier for a user to understand what you have to offer. You want a navigation that makes it obvious what type of information you’ll have, and that gives easy access to the affiliate product(s) you’re going to promote.

Second, you want to list out a bunch of post topic ideas, that are all related to your affiliate product, but not directly promoting it. You should be able to come up with 10 post ideas easily. If you can’t, maybe you should rethink your niche. Then, just sit down and write write write!!! The key is to post good content often, at least once a day while you’re ramping up the site.

Week 3: Promote Your A** Off

By now you should have a stable base of content on the site, both posts and pages. Now it’s time to get going with promoting your website to the public.

I usually use two main channels when I’m launching a new site. Firstly, I do a lot of social media promotion. Join groups related to your niche, and share your content with whoever will read it. If you’ve written high quality content, you should be able to find an interested audience to share it with. That’s why having good content is so important.

The other step you might want to take is to promote your content with a paid advertising campaign, either through Google Adwords or Facebook ads (I love “boosting” posts for your site and hoping they go viral).

Again, the point is to get as many eyeballs to your website as quickly as possible!

Week 4: Rinse and Repeat

By week four, you should have your site up and running and professional, and be getting at least some traffic to it. All you have to do now is rinse and repeat this process over and over, until you have the earnings levels you desire!

I’m not saying it’s easy, and I’m not saying you don’t have to work, but this is how you transform your life and earn a living online. So it’s time to get off the couch, stop reading this blog post, and start working!
