how_to_learn_affiliate_marketingLaunching a new internet marketing business can feel difficult and overwhelming if you’ve never done it before. There’s so much to learn, and just figuring out how to learn affiliate marketing can seem a challenge, let alone the act of building a profitable website.

The good news is that there are a ton of online marketing resources out there to help you. You’re most definitely not  alone in this process, and everyone who has a successful business was once sitting exactly where you are today.

If you’re eager and willing, you can learn affiliate marketing, and you can learn it fairly quickly.

In this post, I’ll give a straightforward approach on how to learn affiliate marketing in 30 days.

How to Learn Affiliate Marketing

Step 1: Buy a Course

While it is possible to get started with a new internet marketing business without purchasing a course or training, the reality is that without at least some guidance you’re likely to waste time pursuing non-essential tasks, and may even risk discouraging yourself in the process.

If you purchase an affiliate training course, you’ll be able to overcome the initial barriers to entry much more quickly than you could otherwise. You’ll gain access to great material, seasoned experts, and a community that has struggled through the exact same problems you’re probably dealing with and is there to help you through.

My best recommendation is Wealthy Affiliate. They have a great program that walks you step by step through the process of setting up your new business. Best of all: it’s free to join.

Step 2: Practice, Practice, Practice

Affiliate marketing is like baseball batting averages: you don’t need to hit a home run every time you step up to the plate in order to be successful. A few base hits are more than enough to get you where you need to be, and it’s ok if you strike out from time to time.

Content production is not an exact science…nor should it be. The only way you’re going to truly learn how to create high quality, engaging content consistently is to practice doing it. That may mean practicing different posts for a single website, or playing with a few different niche ideas before settling on one to focus on.

Step 3: Stick With It!

If you’re going to start affiliate marketing, you can learn the basics in just a couple of weeks, but it’s going to take time before you have a site (or portfolio of sites) that are performing the way you want them to.

This is normal, and has to do with the way websites rank over time. The important thing is to stick with it, have confidence, and come out the other end of the funnel with a profitable business. (click here to read why most blogs fail)

To do any of this, however, you need to get started! In internet marketers, the doers are always miles ahead of the hesitaters. Taking action is key, so start building your business today!
