In this post, I’ll outline the steps you need to take in order to get yourself from 0 to 100k in less than 1 year.
Breaking Down $100k
If you’re starting from scratch, earning $100k isn’t really a good goal. It seems daunting, and you’re likely to get overwhelmed and frustrated before you get even close to that.
To be really successful, you need to break your goal down into smaller chunks.
$100k annually is better thought of as $8,333 a month, or, better yet, around $274 a day.
Focusing on monthly or daily revenue is a better indicator because it lets you extrapolate out your growth more easily. In other words, you recenter your goals to think forward towards your vision rather than backwards at your past.
A Few Ways Of Thinking
Ok, so in order to break the $8k/month barrier you can think about your progress in a few different ways. $8,333 is:
- 8 sites that earn a little over $1,000 each on average
- 2,000 pages that earn around $4 a month
- 333 sales of a product that pays a $25 commission
- 56,000 pages views at a $150 CPM.
You can pick whichever one of those resonates with you the best, but the point is, these are all very achievable numbers.
Make $1,000 First. Then Scale
Before you get to that point, however, you need to be able to replicate small success consistently.
You should be thinking about how to make your first $100. Then your first $1,000.
If you can make $1,000 in a month. All you need to do is replicate that process. Your previous earnings will continue to support you while you expand and grow, adding on to your income every month.
