Step 6: Starting Your Keyword Research

Finally, it’s time to narrow down a few keywords to work with.

The reason this step comes so late in the process is because there are nearly an infinite number of keywords you can leverage.

Think about that for a moment: just about any site has the potential to generate as much traffic as you could ever need, and then some.

That’s because people search for information in billions of different ways, and it’s impossible for any one site to target all of the keywords within their niche.

This is the beauty behind the world of internet marketing. You can keep generating traffic ’til the cows come home, and your business will grow, day in and day out.

Step 7: Creating Your Website

Only after you’ve gone through the first 6 steps do I recommend setting up your website. That’s because far too many new marketers fall into the trap of wanting to create dozens of websites right out of the gate.

The result is a dozen ideas on a dozen empty domains, and you just wasted $100 in unnecessary domain and hosting services.

Focusing on each of the research and brainstorming steps first helps eliminate those other ideas and focus your thoughts on 1 or 2 websites that will be able to turn you a solid profit.

Step 8: Writing Your First Post

Once you’ve gotten your site up, it’s time to write your first post.

At this point, you’re probably both excited and a little nervous. The most important thing with your first post isn’t that you “get it right,” but simply that you get going!

Your first post won’t be perfect, but I guarantee you that this is a huge step towards laying the foundation for your success. You’ll be able to build on your skills over time and getting that first post published to the world will start the process of getting your site ranked in the search engines.
